As we enter into this weekend (if you haven’t registered for DNCW15, here’s a link) I want us all to take a moment to reflect on how God can touch our lives and open our hearts to hear what He has to say.
Adam Robinson will be preaching on community and how Christ made example of this in the Bible. Chuck Hooten and his band will be providing us with worship and more ways to see God. I thought it would be great to just take a few minutes to pray for our weekend. (feel free to listen to the song on repeat as you pray).
Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Dear Lord, take this weekend from us. It’s all about You lord. I pray that this weekend will fill us with your Spirit. Overwhelm us Father.
I pray for the students. That they will feel love not only from You, but from the other students as well. That no matter what is going on around them, whether it be a bad family situation, a recent breakup or stress from school work, that the students can slow down for this weekend and have only You.
I pray for the host home families, that they will feel Your presence and the knowledge that without them, none of this could be possible. I pray that they will feel patience and understanding if anything should not go as planned. Give us all a spirit of understanding this weekend.
Lord, let us seek you. Help us to find you in this busy world. Slow us down, teach us to find you.
Give us your grace and your wisdom in all that we do, in Your name, Amen.
