Day 14 | Haleigh Jinright

Through this devo, God taught me that I often try to determine places where God can be God and places where I still try to be in control. In my life, I like to be able to determine how/when things happen, but when I take a step back and give it all to God, it always turns out better than I could’ve planned for it to.

Proverbs 16:33 – “We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.

The verse that stood out the most to me was v. 66 where it says, “‘what then is this child going to be?’ For the Lord’s hand was with him.” That blows my mind that even as a young child, people already witnessed God’s hand at work in John’s life. They could already tell that God was going to do great things through him, which you can see later on in the Bible how God used him in multiple ways to grow the Kingdom of God.

Today’s Scripture shows us that we should never underestimate or be afraid to trust God because He works for the good of those who love Him and His way is the best. Another thing to think about is that what God wants to happen is what will ultimately happen. So the greatest thing for us to do is to trust Him. Hope this can help y’all today as you walk through life! Praying for all of you!
